Struggling Automaker's Plan Considers Three Scenarios
Chrysler's plan considers three scenarios. A bankruptcy study was required, and chairman Bob Nardelli says the $20- to $25-billion debtor-in-possession Chapter 11 would require an entity no smaller than the federal government to step forward, otherwise it's liquidation. "This is not a course of action we're recommending," Nardelli says.
